The government gives the green light for the planned offshore wind farms Kattegatt syd and Galatea-Galene off the coast of Halland, states Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) at a press conference.

– The government now explicitly states that there are conflicting goals in almost all policies, not infrequently between climate and environment, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

He says that the government’s decision has been a difficult balance.

– We are now increasing the pace of decision-making.

The parks have been waiting a couple of years for permission. Altogether, it is about a hundred wind turbines.

Kattegat syd is planned to be built by Vattenfall and Galatea-Galene is managed by the company OX2.

– Now there will be a change in things, says Minister of Energy and Industry Ebba Busch (KD).
