Green light for controversial graphite mine in Kiruna

In a press release, Talga’s CEO Martin Phillips expresses great joy.

Ignored in Kiruna municipality

There have been many shared tours around the graphite mine. In March, Talga toured the municipality and went directly to the government for a planning order.

Something that municipal councilor Mats Taaveniku (S) did not appreciate as he wanted Talga to wait out the democratic process.

– It is unfortunate. This is not how it should work, he said then.
