(Finance) – The European Investment Bank provided a green financing worth 100 million to the Spanish energy company Iberdrolawith coverage of Archimede guarantee from SACE for 70% of the value.
The resources will be used for construction of a new photovoltaic system in Italy, an investment that marks a significant step towards increasing the production of renewable energy in the country and achieving the European Union’s climate objectives. Operational in 2025 and located in the provinces of Enna and Cataniain Sicily, the new photovoltaic plant will have a renewable energy production capacity of 242.78 MWpcapable of satisfying the annual requirement of approximately 154 thousand Italian families.
