In Greece, it is one of the consequences of a decade of economic crisis. In 2012, around fifteen deputies from the far-right neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party entered Parliament. This progress at the polls was ultimately slowed down by the Greek justice system. In 2020, Golden Dawn was labeled a “criminal organization”. Its main leaders were sent to prison. But during this summer’s legislative elections, a new party close to the Golden Dawn ideology appeared in the Assembly.
