In a written statement from the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Foreign Minister Necla al-Menghush summoned Ambassador Mabruk for consultation to clarify the issue of Dendias not getting off the plane during his visit to Tripoli on Thursday, November 17.
Emphasizing that the Greek Minister’s behavior is contrary to international diplomacy norms, the statement said, “Foreign Minister Menguş asked Libya’s Ambassador to Athens, Mebruk, to issue a protest note to the Greek authorities to clarify the behavior of Foreign Minister Dendias.” expressions were used.
In the statement of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was pointed out that such unconsidered behaviors have repercussions that jeopardize Libya’s confidence and stability, and indirectly invite division in the country.
