Toronto star William Nylander tops this year’s Swedish scoring leader in the NHL.
But the top scorer is Nashville’s Filip Forsberg.
Tonight’s meeting against Tampa Bay, Toronto’s 82nd and final regular season game before the playoffs, was 27-year-old William Nylander’s last chance this season to reach the magical milestone of 100 points. He was credited with an assist, thus falling short by two points.

This year’s regular season, in which he scored 98 points, is William Nylander’s best performance in his career. Last year he had 87 points. A total of 40 goals were scored this season, the same number as last year.
Nylander the best
Among all players in the NHL, William Nylander ranks tenth in the points league, with only single games remaining for some teams in the league’s regular season.
The Swedish shooting league is topped by Nashville’s Philip Forsberg, who scored 48 goals during the regular season. He ranks sixth among all players in the NHL. He is also the second best Swedish scorer, with 94 points.

Both Nashville and Toronto have clinched spots in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The third best Swedes in terms of points are Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson, who have one game left to play in the regular season. He has 89 points, including 34 goals, and will also play in the playoffs.
Stanley Cup:
The top three teams from the four divisions are directly qualified for the playoffs, as well as the two highest placed teams in the respective conference (which consists of two divisions each). The final series is decided in the best of seven games.

Wildcard spots in the Eastern Conference: Tampa Bay, Washington.
From Central: Dallas, Winnipeg, Colorado.
