This week, a large female sea eagle was found in the water by four German tourists at Tidö-Lindö outside Västerås, which VLT has also reported.
They fished her out with nets and a private person helped them contact Stockholm’s wild bird rehab in Åkersberga, a non-profit association that rescues injured birds.
X-rays showed no injuries and the protected bird of prey is not lead poisoned either. However, she has a head injury that is now allowed to heal. After food and training, the stately bird of prey will eventually be released back into the wild.
