By getting another chance at the World Cup again.
William Poromaa is selected in the Swedish ski squad for the World Cup finals in Falun later this week. But it is not certain that the Swede, who injured his thumb during the five-mile run in Holmenkollen, can stand on the starting line.
“Our medical team continues to investigate the injury and hope to have clear information before the weekend. He is out for the time being and of course we hope to be able to see him at the start already on Friday,” says the national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.

The sockets are also Calle Halfvarsson, despite still feeling the effects of the cold that stopped him from competing in Norway. Also Vasaloppstrean Alvar Myhlback17, gets to compete in the Swedish Skiing Games, as one of the skiers in the national group.
The competitions in Falun begin with sprints on Friday and are followed by distance races on both Saturday and Sunday. On the women’s side is Lynn Svahn in the fight for overall victory in the World Cup, which is led by the Americans Jessie Diggins.
