Great message of joy for Stina Nilsson after the giant miss – opens up about the embarrassing blunder: “It’s my fault”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

It was not a fun weekend for Stina Nilsson.
The Swede broke his own pole during the World Cup race.
But now comes the great news for the 29-year-old.

During the weekend did Stina Nilsson long-awaited comeback to the World Cup again. But it was the worst possible start for the Swede already in the first race in the Czech Nove Mesto.

Nilsson’s miss

Nilsson didn’t even get away from the starting gate before the pole broke and the race was ruined. The 29-year-old never managed to recover from the tough start and shot a total of five misses.
– I’m very poor, I’ve broken a bit too many rods this year. It’s my fault, she told SVT after the race.
– It would have been fun to get a good start. But I bring that stress into the shooting. I wanted a clean race today, but I didn’t get it. I’m disappointed.

The giant miss in the sprint race resulted in Stina Nilsson not being allowed to continue competing in the pursuit start later in the weekend. But despite the difficult return to the World Cup, there is now a very nice piece of good news for the Swede.

Stina’s joy

On Monday, Sweden’s new national team squad for the World Cup at home in Östersund this coming weekend was announced. There, Stina’s name is again included as one of six selected names on the women’s side.

The competitions in Östersund are the penultimate World Cup weekend of this year’s season, which is coming to an end. Then Stina Nilsson gets a chance for revenge to find out what she really wants before her third season, and probably the toughest, as biathlon comes to an end.
