The grandiose villain appearance You can experience Benedict Cumberbatch in Star Trek Into Darkness on Sunday at 11:05 p.m. on Sat. 1. Then the channel will broadcast the second part of the grandiose sci-fi series, which was brought to new life in 2009 by JJ Abrams.
Since the third part of the current Star Trek film series, however, the franchise has been in a dead end landed. News about the planned sequel with the most important stars are repeatedly overshadowed by setbacks.

The current status of Star Trek 4 does not sound very promising
In February 2022 there was the most positive sign of life from Star Trek 4. A year ago, the sci-fi sequel was announced with a fixed start date and a director on board. However, Matt Shakman, who previously worked on the MCU series WandaVision, eventually dropped out to prefer the new Fantastic Four movie to stage.
This loss in the director’s chair recently led to another drastic message. In September 2022, the Paramount Studio removed Star Trek 4 completely from the release calendar for the time being. The decision certainly has something to do with the fact that now Replacement for Shakman must be found.
The fourth part of the popular sci-fi series is up-to-date again without director and start date there. We will keep you informed about more positive developments in Star Trek 4.
