Coop is recalling green grapes after excessive levels of the pesticide Fluvalinate were discovered during a routine check. The product can be hazardous to health, writes Coop in a press release.

The recall concerns the product Coop Kärnfria Vindruvor Green, 500 grams with identification number (“Lot.nr”) 2390892, purchased in store between 20 and 30 October. The number is written on the plastic box the grapes are in.

“Customers who have purchased the item during the current period are asked to bring the item or the receipt to the store to get the money back. Coop regrets what happened,” writes the food giant.

Coop must investigate how the incident could occur.
