Linn Grant continues to play good golf. The Swedish talent became a professional less than a year ago and has since taken two victories on the European Tour – the most recent in Belgium at the end of May.
After two rounds of Scandinavian Mixed in Halmstad, she has a bid for another victory.
The 22-year-old admittedly started with a bogey. But then she played herself up. Grant went around on 68 strokes, four under par, and is split second on -10.
– It’s good from the tee, the putting is good but a bit of iron pulls to the left sides, which I’m not a fan of, Grant says to Viaplay and tells about the plan for the future.
– I’m just going to drive as before. I will try to find a slightly better feeling with the irons, but it works. So it’s just driving in the same style.
Golf icon Annika Sörenstam, who played in the same ball as Grant, had it heavier and was noted for 75 strokes and with a total of +5 she ended up on the wrong side of the cut.
– I was hoping to play better, she says to Viaplay.
– I tried but it did not work.
Maja Stark, +3, has also finished playing.
Jason Scrivener, Australia, went around on 64 strokes – a new course record – and tops the results list at -12.
Henrik Stenson and Kristoffer Broberg share seventh place with three others, four strokes behind.
