The Grand Erie District School Board is looking for input from the public as it develops its 2023-24 school year budget.
“Hearing from families and community members about what’s most important to them is crucial information to have as we make decisions for the upcoming school year,” said Susan Gibson, chair of the board of trustees.
“We hope this process of consultation will allow for that feedback for the budget to be heard and put into meaningful action to ensure the best outcomes for learners.”
The 2023-24 budget survey is open until April 21 at snap.granderie.ca/snapwebhost/s.asp?k=168018333283. The board is hoping to hear from students, staff members, parents, neighbors and other community members as it identifies priorities and allocates funding.
The budget will be presented to trustees for final review at a board meeting in June.
The Grand Erie District School Board includes more than 26,000 students in 58 elementary and 14 secondary schools in Brantford and the counties of Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
