GREAT REGIONAL COMPETITION. Presented by Cyril Féraud, the great regional competition is launched this Friday, March 18, 2022, with the “Best folk dance in France” on France 3.

The Grand Concours des Régions is back on France 3 this Friday, March 18, 2022 with an edition that highlights the folk dances of our villages in France. The competition is held on the stage of the Royal Palace, one of the largest Music Halls in France located in Alsace, precisely in Kirrwiller, northwest of Strasbourg.

On this occasion, 10 amateur troops from the regions of France and overseas will compete to win the trophy for “the best folk dance in France”. In total, 200 dancers will shine on the stage of the Royal Palace, in their traditional costume. Gavotte, dancing on stilts, polka, bourrée… The competition will be fierce!

Where do the candidates for the Grand Concours des Régions come from?

The 10 amateur dance troupes in competition come from the regions of Brittany, Occitanie, Grand-Est, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Normandy, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Tahiti islands and Martinique.

Who are the members of the jury of the Grand Concours des Régions program?

The jury of the Grand Concours des Régions is made up of the former Miss France Mareva Galanter, the singer Vincent Niclo, journalist Laurent Luyat, and antique dealer Caroline Margeridon. The jurors will nominate 7 finalists. On the second pass, they will deliberate a second time to designate the big winner of the Grand Concours des Régions on Friday March 25 at 00:25.
