In the last term of office, the Hunting and Fishing Samas and Vuovdega have guided the Sami Parliament together.
And that the parties agree on most things is also what Granberg mentions as a reason why she now chooses to switch to the larger of the two partners.
– There are not such big differences between the parties and hunting and fishing is the largest party. If you want to be involved and influence and maybe have an ordinary place in plenary, it feels good for me to switch to them, she tells Sameradion.
Slightly more young candidates
The fact that the parties are approaching each other is also shown by the fact that the hunting and fishing collections in this year’s election now have a completely forest Sami ballot, she notes. That ballot box is topped by Jennie Granberg.
On the ballot papers, which were published during the week, there are also several changes compared to the election in 2021. A slightly more young people are in the year’s election – although the average age among the candidates is still high 51 years.
As before, it is the hunting and fishing collections that have the highest middle age of 59 years, while Guovssonásti has the youngest.
