Grammy-winning artist’s signature may have been faked

Adam Farhoumand quickly became one of the country’s most famous brokers. Part of the success was being able to showcase sales to celebrities such as Margaux Dietz, Anis Don Demina and Samir Badran.

In these transactions, Uppdrag veranschenk has not found anything suspicious. However, another of the star broker’s known clients may have been exploited.

Double apartment purchases raise questions

Farhoumand and his crony were sentenced this summer to several years in prison for money laundering, accounting violations and fraud.

In the police’s investigation, there are many falsified employment contracts and pay slips, but also a sales agreement for a three-room apartment for SEK 4.1 million. The buyer is a Grammy-winning artist.

The police find another agreement for the same apartment – with the same buyer. The agreements are dated in two different years.

Takes help from a handwriting expert

The two convicted owners of the brokerage firm have not been able to give any explanations to the police. But there are many indications that the artist has not signed one of the agreements.

Assignment review uses the help of a graphologist – an expert in handwriting – who can establish that the two signatures are likely not written by the same person. The image that something is not right is strengthened when Uppdrag gränskning calls the artist, who firmly denies the double apartment purchase.
