In his statement to the state agency Ukrinform, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmitro Kuleba referred to the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement. Kuleba stated that they coordinated the efforts of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskiy and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to return Russia to the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
Reminding that Russia stopped the agreement, Kuleba stated that Ukraine is interacting with Turkey about Putin’s return to this agreement.
Kuleba said:
“Ukraine is in coordination with Erdogan for Putin’s return to the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement. Erdogan is in coordination with Zelenskiy on this issue. This is mutually beneficial. Erdogan is the only leader who can get Putin back to the agreement.”
GRAIN CORRIDOR AGREEMENT
In order to reduce the impact of the Russia-Ukraine War on global food prices, the United Nations (UN), Russia, Turkey and Ukraine signed the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement at a ceremony held in Istanbul on July 22, 2022.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov made a statement on 17 July regarding the expired agreement, “The grain corridor agreement has actually come to an end, it has been stopped.
