Graham Potter didn’t even survive a full season at Chelsea.
Now comes a huge rumor after his departure to the big club.
As the Englishman is singled out as the favorite to take over a series competitor.
Last fall got Graham Potter the big dream job when Chelsea themselves got in touch and asked about the Swedish acquaintance’s services. A few years ago, he led small Östersunds FK to the Allsvenskan and further into Europe and then he worked wonders with Brighton in the Premier League.

Potter also got off to a dream start on the coaching bench at Chelsea and lined up some fine results during the opening period. But in connection with the football World Cup 2022, the wind turned in London and Potter was quickly under a lot of pressure.

Chelsea, which is not exactly known for its good patience, began to slip considerably and considering how many billions have been invested this season, it quickly became a sign of crisis. This weekend, the coup de grace came when Chelsea at home lost to Aston Villa 0-2.

It was also the nail in the coffin for Graham Potter, because on Sunday evening came the news that Chelsea is getting rid of the 47-year-old. It was only seven months as a coach for one of Europe’s big clubs and now Potter has to start over elsewhere.

Now there is information in England that points to the fact that the coach may not have to wait too long for the next job. The English newspaper Daily Mail reports that Potter is now in the running for Premier League rival Leicester.

They want him
The former champions have also had a crisis this season and are in the relegation zone at the moment. On Sunday, they fired the head coach Brendan Rodgers and Potter is reported to be his replacement at the post.
The newspaper writes that Leicester are ready to act immediately if Potter is ready for a new coaching job immediately. If the Englishman wants to remain in the Premier League, he will top Leicester’s wish list for the coming season, but it is unclear what the former Chelsea coach wants to do here next.
