Located in the Downtown Chatham Centre, the doors will open on March 15, welcoming all students who wish to find dress attire for their big day.
“We are always blessed with donations of dresses, clothing (and) accessories for all our students in need of things to wear,” Tim Haskell, FreeHelpCK spokesperson, said on Tuesday.
“It’s very important that we make sure that barriers like money don’t stop children from feeling good about themselves.”
There will be variety of styles, colors and sizes to suit everyone’s taste and body shape, the organization said.

A special day also is planned for May, when professional makeup artists and photographers will be available to help with the transformation.
“It’s incredible to witness the impact this initiative has had over the years. Being able to help students celebrate and cherish these important milestones without worrying about the financial burden is truly rewarding,” FreeHelpCK stated in a media release.
“We consider it a privilege to support our community in such a meaningful way. We owe our gratitude to our kind-hearted donors, volunteers and businesses who have made this event possible year after year.”
Anyone with formal attire, jewelry or shoes to donate is encouraged to reach out to FreeHelpCK. Volunteers are also welcome. For more information, visit the group on Facebook, or at https://www.freehelpck.ca/
