Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has left the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don with his forces, the regional governor of Rostov, Vasily Golubev, said on Telegram.
The Russian town near the Ukrainian border was captured by the paramilitary Wagner group last Friday night.
It is unclear where Prigozhin is headed, but according to the governor, the private army forces are retreating to their field bases. According to the Kremlin, the Wagner leader has agreed to leave Russia for Belarus.
