The officer was practicing drawing his gun, forgot a magazine was in it, and a shot went off through a window.
In the investigation, it is established that the man, contrary to orders, had a loaded weapon inside the building.
“The incident has affected trust in him in his handling of weapons. An action plan must be drawn up to regain that trust,” the report says.
The incident occurred in December and will now be investigated by the Swedish Armed Forces’ Personnel Responsibility Board.
