It was when the boy slept over with his then-girlfriend that he apologized in a text message for “pulling” her while she was sleeping. The boy was charged with sexual abuse and sentenced to youth service for 75 hours and to pay 35,000 kroner in damages.
Agree on the meaning of the word
But the Göta Court of Appeal does not agree with the district court’s assessment and, according to Dagens juridik, has made a more cautious interpretation of the word.
According to the newspaper, Göta Court of Appeal writes in the judgment that both the defendant and the plaintiff have answered that they used to use the word “pulla” in the sense of inserting fingers into the vagina. The prosecutor said that was what he meant in the text message.
Convicted of sexual harassment
Despite that, the Court of Appeal acquitted the boy of sexual abuse as there was uncertainty about how well thought out the boy’s choice of words was and his young age at the time. In questioning, he denies the meaning of the word that the prosecutor means.
However, the Court of Appeal finds that the boy was guilty of sexual molestation when he touched the external parts of her abdomen. He is sentenced to 35 hours of youth service and to pay 10,000 kroner in damages.
