What are the characteristics of the Google Pixel 9a?
The Google Pixel 9a is, like its “low-cost” predecessors, thought as an alternative to the latest generation of Pixel phones. Many of its specificities have already leaked online with in particular its processor which would be a Google Tensor G4 chip (which we already find on the last Google Pixel 9). This should allow the Pixel 9a to have enough power for the processing of applications and photos although the phone would only have 8 GB of RAM.
The design of the Pixel 9a has also already leaked on social networks. It was the Leaker Onleaks that revealed the appearance of the Pixel 9a which turns out to be rather original with its photo sensor.
On the screen side, users should expect maximum brightness that can rise to 1,700 nits as well as a 120 Hz refresh rate. This should allow you to benefit from a good fluidity for telephone animations And video games.
The photo sensors of the Google Pixel 9a would not be the best from Google with only a wide angle of 48 Mpx, an ultra wide angle of 13 Mpx and a 13 MP selfie camera. However, it is necessary to count on the digital processing of the phone which, as we know, does wonders at Google.
Regarding its autonomy, the Google Pixel 9a may well bring a nice surprise with a 5000 mAh battery which is higher than that included in the last Pixel 9! The recharge would be confined to 23 W which remains very low in 2025.
A price that would cringe teeth for Google Pixel 9a
The bad news about the rumors of the Google Pixel 9a comes from its supposed price. While the Pixel 8A was offered from 549 euros in France, Google would operate the prices for the upcoming Pixel 9a. According to information from the Androidheadlines site, the price of the basic version (128 GB), would always be the same. The 256 GB version would however have an upward price.
An advanced release date for the Google Pixel 9a?
While the affordable versions of Google phones (stamped “A”) usually go out during the month of May, Google may well take ahead this year. Still according to the Androidheadlines site, the Google Pixel 9a could be offered in March 2025 with pre -orders opened from March 19.
