Google has just announced a conference for October 6th. An event that will sign the launch of its Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones, but also of its very first connected watch, the Pixel Watch.

It’s official: the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones will be released on October 6, during the Made by Google conference, as the Internet giant revealed in a tweet. It will take place at 4 p.m. French time. It will also be an opportunity to finally see the brand’s very first connected watch, I named the Pixel Watch. Wireless headphones are also part of it to form a complete ecosystem – like Apple, which unveils its new products during its Keynote – which the slogan suggests “It’s all coming together”. As a reminder, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro were mentioned last May during the Google I / O conference, as well as a tablet, but which will not arrive before 2023.

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch: a launch on October 6

Even if they will not be officially presented until October 6, Google’s new smartphones no longer have many secrets to reveal, as they have been the subject of multiple leaks in recent weeks. Thus, we already know that the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will mark the arrival of Google’s second Tensor processor (SoC), and that they will benefit from a 50-megapixel Samsung Isocell GN1 main photo module – already present on the Pixel 6 – as well as an ultra-wide-angle module Sony IMX381. If the Pixel 7 is limited to a dual photo sensor, the Pixel 7 Pro will have a triple sensor, which normally adds a 48-megapixel Samsung Isocell GM 1 telephoto lens. As for the front camera, it’s an 11-megapixel Samsung 3J1 – enough to shoot in 4K, a definition that was previously reserved for Pro models. The Pixel 7 has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and the Pixel 7 Pro 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. Of course, both will run on Android 13.

The Pixel Watch will also be available this fall, with its round design and thin bezels. Few official elements are known about it, except that it will run on Wear OS 3 – designed in collaboration with Samsung – and that it will integrate Fitbit’s services for sport and health. It will of course be possible to follow your heart rate and your sleep thanks to it. Leaks also indicated that it would feature a Samsung Exynos 9110 chip and a 300mAh battery. In any case, the Made by Google event will be held in real life in New York, but it will also be streamed onlinein streaming, as is now the rule for all digital players.
