The original equipment options of the Mégane E-TECH Electric model include five different Goodyear tires and tire sizes. Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 for the size 195/60R18 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance for the larger size 215/45R20 were chosen as summer tires thanks to its ultra-low rolling resistance and precise steering performance of 5.7 kg/t. The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 model will also be offered as an all-season tire option in both sizes. As a result of this wide product range, nearly three-quarters of Mégane E-TECH Electrics will leave the factory with Goodyear tires.
First delivery of the car, which started production in November 2021 at Renault ElectriCity headquarters in Douai, in the north of France, will begin in the first quarter of 2022. Mégane E-TECH Electric’s electric motor, co-developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, weighs just 145 kg and produces either 96 kW (130 hp) or 160 kW (218 hp) depending on its specifications. Mégane E-TECH Electric also has the thinnest battery with its 110 mm battery; It will be offered in two different battery capacities, 40 kWh (WLTP) with a range of up to 300 km and 60 kWh with a range of up to 470 km.

All four Goodyear tires supplied for the Mégane E-TECH Electric have an “R” on the sidewall, indicating that the tires have been specially selected and approved by Renault. The tires also bear Goodyear’s Electric Drive Technology (EDT) logo. This logo on the sidewall of all original equipment tires designed by Goodyear for electric vehicles indicates that the tire is equipped with technologies developed for the special needs of electric vehicles of the relevant original equipment model.
