The Swede is in a shared lead with the Spaniard Ana Peláez Triviño and the South African Nicole Garcia after the first round of the Helsingborg Open.
The trio went round in 68 strokes, four under par.
Hedwall was noted for a double bogey on the ninth hole. Six birdies, on the other hand, made the double bogey less visible.
