Good news for Parisian public transport users! From spring 2025, the Navigo Liberté+ pass will be able to be loaded directly onto your smartphone. Travel fares are also simplified.

The Navigo pass was activated on Android smartphones two years ago, before arriving on iOS last May, after endless negotiations between IDFM and Apple. However, the offer is not available in full. Indeed, the mobile application allows you to obtain a Navigo Day Pass, single, three, five or ten-pack t+ tickets at the normal or reduced rate, as well as OrlyBus or RoissyBus Tickets. Thus, weekly, monthly or annual Navigo passes, such as the Imagine R or Liberté+ passes, are not among the options offered. Until now, Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) was content to announce 2025 as the launch window for the Navigo Liberté+ pass. Things are finally becoming a little clearer since, according to the organization’s latest blog postit will finally be in spring 2025.

Navigo Liberté+ pass: a simplification of the various IDFM offers

The Navigo Liberté+ pass can therefore be loaded and used directly from an iOS and Android smartphone. Better still, it will allow you to travel throughout the Île-de-France region. Until now, this option was limited to zone 1, which corresponds to Paris intra-muros. Excellent news!

Île-de-France Mobilités is taking the opportunity to make other announcements. Thus, from January 2, 2025, there will be only two tickets that will replace all the current ones. The objective is, unsurprisingly, to greatly simplify and make occasional travel more coherent without overwhelming users with numerous zones.Where 50,000 different tariffs were possible, by January 2, 2025, there will only be two!”assures the organization. While the price of train, RER or metro tickets varied between €2.15 and €5 depending on the zone or the municipality, it will be charged at €2.50 as a single fee. For the bus and the tram, this amount will be reduced to €2. Note that these amounts will be reduced for holders of a Navigo+ Liberté pass: €1.99 for the train-RER-metro and €1.60 for the bus and the tram. In addition, the connection between the bus or tram and the metro, train or RER will be free.

Finally, the tickets intended for visitors are also being simplified. The Navigo Jour pass for all zones without access to airports is going from €20.60 to €12. There will also be a single airport pass at €13, valid for both airports (Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly), departing for the entire Île-de-France region, as well as a Paris Visite pass at €29.90, including access to airports. However, we have no news of the annual Navigo pass, which is preferred by employees, being available on smartphones.
