Good news for gamers! Valve has announced the dates of all sales and promotion periods on Steam for the year 2023! Days to mark with a red cross on the calendar, to stock up on games at low prices!
Steam, the favorite online video game platform and store for gamers, has been running regular sales and promotions for several years – so much so that there are almost always good deals to be had. But if these events generally take place on similar dates from one year to the next, the latter are rarely formalized before their launch. Once is not custom, Valve shares its schedule full list of sales, festivals and Neo Fests that will take place throughout 2023. Dates to mark your diary with a big red cross!
Steam sales: a busy calendar
This year, Steam will offer four seasonal events, eight festivals – which highlight a specific category of games that meet a certain number of criteria – and three Neo Fests – which allow you to try many demos, discuss with the development teams and to discover the next releases on Steam, which gives visibility to the different titles, preventing them from coming out in total indifference. Note that “the Mysterious Steam Festival” is currently in full swing. Here are all the dates:
- The Mysterious Steam Festival: February 20-27.
- The Puzzle Game Festival: April 24 to May 1.
- Spring Sale: March 16-23 (main seasonal promotional event).
- The sports festival: from May 15 to 22.
- Neo Fest: from June 19 to 26.
- Summer Sale: June 29 – July 13 (main seasonal promotional event).
- The Infiltration Festival: July 24-31.
- The festival of graphic novels: from August 7 to 14.
- The festival of strategy: from August 28 to September 4.
- The Shoot ‘Em Up festival: from September 25 to October 2.
- Neo Fest: October 9 to 16.
- Steam’s Spooky Halloween Returns (on Halloween): October 26 – November 2 (more details to come).
- Fall Sale: November 21-28 (main seasonal promotional event).
- Winter Sale: December 21 to January 4, 2024 (main seasonal promotional event).
To take full advantage of the sales and other promotions – and optimize your financial cracks – it is recommended to have a regularly updated wish list. Thanks to it, Steam will communicate to you by e-mail when a sales period is coming and especially if the games listed benefit from reductions via a message “your wishlist item is on sale!” Sales periods are also the time to take advantage of packs and entire bundles at very attractive prices: the entire Hitman saga at a few euros, different Sims DLC sets, all Rockstar Games titles at -50%… It’s now or never!
