Golf club in Upplands Väsby creates wetland

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

– Less drinking water must be used to irrigate courses and plantings at Wäsby golf. They also store water for dry periods, says Henrik de Joussineau, nature manager at Upplands Väsby municipality.

The project also hopes to contribute to biological diversity and give Väsby residents a richer natural life.

In the middle of the wetland, artificial islands will be built from recycled PET bottles that will create important habitats for birds and amphibians. An electric light trail will run by the wetland.
