The investment bank Goldman Sachs has calculated the probability that the US economy would go into recession in the next year.
According to the bank, the probability of a recession is now 20 percent, while earlier it was expected to occur with a probability of 25 percent.
A recession refers to a situation where the country’s gross domestic product has contracted for two quarters in a row.
