37 years after the release of the title “She Made a Baby All Alone”, we finally know the identity of the mother, a close friend of Jean-Jacques Goldman. The baby in question is none other than the wife of a French actor, and it was he who spilled the beans.

We all hummed this famous song while listening to it on repeat. “She had a baby on her own“, written by Jean-Jacques Goldman in 1987, is a hit that is still relevant today, which refers to women using science to conceive a child. But until then, no one had ever known who this single mother who “embraced her new femininity” was. 37 years after the release of this hit which became a silver record with more than 400,000 copies sold, a French actor spilled the beans and we finally know his identity, and that of the baby! The singer-songwriter, elected favorite personality of the French for the seventh consecutive year according to an Ifop/JDD barometer, had nevertheless kept the mystery throughout all these years. In his song, he simply revealed a few little clues: the baby, whom he considers his own child, has blue eyes.

During an interview on Europe 1, Philippe Lelouche revealed that he was very close to the baby the song talks about since it is his wife, Vanessa Boisjean, hairdresser and makeup artist.

“She’s my wife. My mother-in-law is called Lily Boisjean and she was Jean-Jacques Goldman’s friend and press secretary. They were close all the time and they still are. And indeed, when she got pregnant, Jean-Jacques wrote this song for her and the baby became my wife. I met her eight years ago now.” says the actor who says he is proud of this anecdote. “It’s not something you say on the first date. I found out about it well afterward. Besides, she doesn’t talk about it, it’s me who often brags about it, I brag about it!” he added.

For his part, Jean-Jacques Goldman returns to the forefront with the release of a brand new title entitled “Pense à nous”, a song written for the cellist Gauthier Capuçon and conceived as “a hymn to joy that brings together “.
