Goes on a match penalty – gets furious

In a situation in front of Färjestad’s goal, Frölunda’s Carl Klingberg is in front and cranks for the puck, which is blocked by the goalkeeper. Then Klingberg gets crosschecked in the face by Färjestad’s Joakim Nygård.

– Oh, how Klingberg is bleeding, says TV4’s commentator Johan Edlund.

After the referees have video reviewed the situation, they leave the message that Nygård has finished playing. The match penalty causes the ferry city player to go to the referee, and after a short discussion, he leaves the field and hits the club hard on the rim in rage.

– He is irritated, notes Johan Edlund.

It is Färjestad’s fourth match penalty this season.

– They are in a snowball effect of expulsions, and perhaps worse expulsions, says expert commentator Joel Lundqvist.

The match between Frölunda and Färjestad ended 2-5. The result causes Frölunda to slip slightly down the table.
