There’s great news for fans of Godzilla vs. Kong and the MonsterVerse’s bombastic titan duels. In addition to a MonsterVerse series for Apple TV+ and a Netflix animated series, there’ll soon be more cracking creature action on the big screen. the Theatrical sequel now has an official release date receive.

Godzilla vs Kong 2: launch date and what is already known

The sequel Godzilla vs. Kong 2 (still without official title) is scheduled for March 15, 2024 start in US cinemas. This is reported, among other things, by the Hollywood Reporter. Nothing concrete is known about the plot itself. However, the film is intended to continue the events of the predecessor, in which the titans Godzilla and Kong first fought and finally allied themselves in the fight against MechaGodzilla.

The Godzilla vs. Kong sequel is once again directed by director Adam Wingard. The human lead Dan Stevens, who is reunited with Wingard after the stylish thriller The Guest, will take over. Filming is slated to begin later this year in Australia.

Before Godzilla and Kong continue on the big screen, there are still two more exciting projects from the MonsterVerse delight the fans. One would be the animated series Skull Island, which will be available on Netflix soon.

Apple TV+, on the other hand, has the first live-action MonsterVerse series in development. It will be directed by WandaVision director Matt Shakman, among others, while the cast includes Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski. The series will start probably 2023 or 2024.
