God of War Ragnarök about to be the subject of a big leak?

The big leak that hit The Last of Us Part II before its 2020 release was thought to be just a bad memory, but gameplay videos and images of The Last of Us Part I have been spreading all over the world recently. the Web without Naughty Dog being able to stem this new leak. As one can imagine, some studio executives had it bad, like Vice President Arne Meyer who underlined that it was both “discouraging and frustrating” for the teams because they had put their heart into their work. Obviously, other earthquakes of the same magnitude are to be expected.

In any case, this was pointed out by Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra, as part of the latest issue of the XboxEra Podcast. Indeed, the guy claims to have been contacted by anonymous sources to find out if he would possibly be interested in leaks concerning other Sony Interactive Entertainment productions. If he suggests that God of War Ragnarök could experience the same fate, he especially thinks that there are undoubtedly security flaws with the Japanese manufacturer.

Still, Nick Baker’s claims echo to those of the moderator Therabbidscot (GamingLeaksAndRumours on Reddit) who recently indicated having been able to exchange with one of the sources behind the leak of The Last of Us Part I, and that obviously, people intended to leak the next Nordic adventures of Kratos and his son Atreus. It is still too early to know if the threat is real or if these vulnerabilities only concern Naughty Dog, but it is hard to imagine Sony Interactive Entertainment remaining idly by.

For the record, The Last of Us Part I will be released on September 2 on PS5, while God of War Ragnarök will arrive on November 9.
