Goalless summit – Arsenal’s gap narrows

Despite the loss of points, the London club continues to top the table. Down to Manchester City, the gap narrowed, from nine, to eight points – the Manchester club have played one fewer game, however. Thus, City have the opportunity to close the gap to five points if they beat Chelsea on Thursday.

Newcastle remain in third, and are one point behind City, although with two games more played.

In the evening, Brighton crushed Everton 4–1. Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma made it 1-0 in the first half – early in the second Evan Ferguson, Solly March and Pascal Gross extended the lead with a goal each. In added time, Everton’s Demarai Gray reduced the deficit with a penalty goal.

On top of that, Fulham defeated Leicester 1–0 after a goal by Alkesandar Mitrovic.
