Glenn Strömberg is put on edge by colleague Anders Bjuhr

Old major player Glenn Strömberg is one of Viaplay’s most popular commentators.
Recently, colleague Anders Bjuhr tried to make him appear in a bad light – he really put Glenn on edge with an unprepared question.
Fortunately, he really saved the situation.

During the early 1980s, the midfielder was Glenn Stromberg64, one of IFK Gothenburg’s best players. During Sven-Göran Eriksson management, the team won the Uefa Cup in 1982 and then Strömberg moved to Benfica to become a professional. However, he is best known for his years in Italian Atalanta, where he is still regarded as a king.

Started a new career

In connection with the European Championship in England in 1996, four years after Strömberg retired as a soccer player, he began a new career as an expert commentator for Sveriges Television and for Viaplay. On the latter channel, he comments on the Champions League and Premier League – often with Niklas Holmgren or Anders Bjuhr.

Last weekend, his colleague Anders Bjuhr tried to put him a bit ugly on live broadcast. Before the big meeting between Manchester United and Tottenham, the duo were going to discuss the match, but suddenly Bjuhr asked Strömberg a spontaneous question. A question he was not at all prepared for.

The somewhat malicious colleague asked him which six Swedes had played for Manchester United over the years. Glenn then said it was cheating because he is known to have a bad memory, and it came so suddenly out of nowhere.

– Always put me on this, I have such a bad memory and watch so many matches. I can say this.. (Victor) Lindelöf playing there now, says Glenn in the clip that you can SEE HERE.

Great answer

In the end, he manages to come up with four other names of players who have been there. Inter alia Jesper Blomqvist who was there when United won the treble in 1998/1999 (Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup). Also Glenn’s colleague at Viaplay, The buoy Djordjichas represented Manchester United during his time as the super coach Sir Alex Ferguson was there. Glenn also figured out that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Elanga was there fairly recently.

– One of Sweden’s best of all time, says Bjuhr as a clue when Strömberg loses a little focus when he has to come up with the last name.

– I haven’t played here! Haha!, he then says and tans his lip himself.

– Then I wouldn’t have said that either, answers Anders Bjuhr, he too with a twinkle in his eye.
