Glenn Hysén’s honest words about Zlatan Ibrahimovic – and the expectation of “Ibra’s” next mission: “It would surprise me”

Glenn Hysén has followed Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career from a distance.
Now the IFK Gothenburg icon shares his opinion of “Ibra”.
– He’s a bit cocky… says Hysén.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, ended his football career in May this year, after 24 years as an active player. The Rosengårds son is seen by many as one of, if not the best soccer player Sweden has ever had.

Tribute to Zlatan

Someone who followed his career from a distance was Glenn Hysén, 63. The former centre-back looks back on Zlatan’s career with admiration.
– You can only applaud, you can’t do anything else. From a purely sporting point of view, it’s ridiculous. He probably has twelve gold balls or whatever it is, says Hysén to Sportbibeln.

The Blåvitt icon also appreciates Ibra’s way of behaving.
– I have never met him, so I do not know inside and out what he is like as a person, more than what you have seen in interviews on television. He’s a bit cocky, but somehow… He still has a twinkle in his eye somehow, he smiles all the time. It’s not these kind of gnomes that you don’t… I think it’s quite fun actually.

Hysén guesses

What awaits next for Zlatan, Hysén thinks is difficult to answer.
– It would surprise me a lot if he didn’t get involved somewhere in football. Then whether it will be Milan or not, I don’t know. But that would surprise me, because his whole life has been like this.

A leadership role, Glenn believes, would have suited Ibrahimovic perfectly.
– He has a good attitude and a winning instinct that should be enough. Sure as hell he would fit into a team as a leader somehow, absolutely. I would never say no to that, damn it, to have an old man like that in the management staff. He can make the other guys grow too, push them.
