Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant is offering an artist studio program for community and regional artists.
As part of the gallery’s mandate to nurture creativity through the arts, Glenhyrst has created an annual eight-month artist incubator program with limited enrolment.
Housed in The Cottage on the grounds of the gallery, the incubator offers working studio space and a curated professional development program for working artists at all levels.
The program will nurture artist development through direct mentorship with other established and professional artists in a series of five modules, as well as through direct collaboration between the artists in the co-working space.
Participants also will be connected with Glenhyrst’s curator and director throughout the program for specialized individual mentorship.
Selected artists will pay a $250 monthly fee to participate in the program and use the studio space.
Four artists will be selected for the program each year and each artist will receive: daily access to a semi-private studio space from Oct. 1 to May 31; shared kitchen and bathroom space; 24/7 security; immersion in the Glenhyrst Gallery community; and a final group exhibition at The Cottage.
