“Girl’s New Year” can be compared to the recurring autumn trend on TikTok, where girls under the hashtags “fall girl aesthetic” and “fall aesthetic” post videos of, among other things, autumn outfits or when doing things at home. Sandra Beijer believes that the “girl’s new year” can be compared to this trend, but that the “girl’s new year” is more a form of refreshment.
– You must become more environmentally friendly, kinder and better at work, says Sandra Beijer.
Girls are often self-critical
Caroline Erkers is a psychologist and CEO at Svea CBT. She believes that goals for autumn can be a good way to deal with the dark season ahead. At the same time, she believes that girls are often very self-critical and can compare themselves to others.
– We all have different conditions and different goals, she says.
Even though the image of the “girl’s new year” may mean, among other things, cooking more food at home or goals to exercise more, Sandra Beijer believes that it should not be a New Year for excitement and pressure.
– I don’t experience this “girl’s new year” as some kind of consumerism or even some kind of excitement. It’s okay to want to feel cozy and good, it’s okay to settle in and do your thing.
