A teenage girl who was out walking several dogs was hit on Thursday in Billdal in Kungsbacka south of Gothenburg, Kungsbacka-Posten reports.
The collision took place at a pedestrian crossing.
– The girl flew onto the hood of the car, so it must have been a serious collision, says police spokesperson Christer Fuxborg to Göteborgs-Posten.
The driver, a woman born in the 1930s, fled the scene after she and her friend temporarily got out of the car.
– They get out of the car and gape and scream, then they get in the car and drive away from the scene. One of our radio cars is called and it meets the car, stops it and talks to the women. The driver had to blow but it showed negative, says Fuxborg to GP.
The girl who was hit escaped more serious injuries, but one of the dogs was seriously injured. The driver is suspected of causing bodily harm.
