Girl has fallen from school roof in Svedala

A child under the age of 15 has been taken by ambulance to hospital after falling from a school roof in Svedala in Skåne.
The fall was about ten meters.
– The police are investigating the incident now, says Arly jensen, operations leader at the rescue service.

Both the emergency services and the ambulance service were called to the scene of the accident at 20.15 on Sunday evening. According to witnesses on the spot, several young people must have been on the roof when the girl fell.

– The girl has been up on the roof together with a friend on a school roof in Svedala and fell down. It’s a fall of around ten metres, says Arly jensen, operations leader at the rescue service.

What can you say about the damage situation?

– No more than that it is quite serious, says Arly Jensen

The schoolyard has been cordoned off pending investigative measures.

– After half past nine, the police have lifted the cordons around the school yard and the incident is being described as an accident. But of course further investigative measures will be taken elsewhere, says the police’s external commander Fredrik Wahlöö.

During the evening, Svedala municipality will activate the municipality’s crisis support group for mental and social care, POSOM, to take care of those affected and prepare for the school day tomorrow.
