It was at the end of March that a 19-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy had made it to Oxhagen in Örebro where they were traveling on an electric scooter – when they were suddenly hit by a car.
The boy managed to get away from the scene while the girl was beaten and abducted by the five men traveling in the car.
At the same time, the police received an alarm about a fight and loud bangs in the same area. A while later they found the girl in a wooded area in Björkhaga. She had been beaten and taken to hospital.
Would perform murder for payment
The girl and the boy were armed with a gun and are suspected of having gone to Oxhagen for a murder mission – where they planned to kill one or more people for SEK 50,000 in payment.
The police believe that it is the gun that caused the loud explosions in the area.
There were five people in the car who are connected to a gang in Oxhagen. All were arrested in July.
“Spiral of violence that has been set in motion”
In August, another 20-year-old man connected to the network was arrested in Varberga. He is charged with having instigated preparations for the murder. Among other things, the man is said to have rented the apartment where the girl and the boy lived before they left on the murder mission.
– I claim that he alone or together with others provided clothes, shoes, electric scooter and gun that were stored in the apartment, says Alen Islamovic, prosecutor for N.A.
– My view is that everything is based on a conflict between networks in Varberga and Oxhagen. It is a spiral of violence that has been set in motion. It is unclear what the start is. There are things they accuse each other of and which led to a disagreement, continues Alen Islamovic.
The girl and the boy are charged with preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences. The five men are charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping. All deny wrongdoing.
The trial started on Tuesday and ends on October 4.
