“Who was Rory Gilmore’s ideal romantic partner?” The eternal question of Team Dean, Team Jess or Team Logan continues to divide Gilmore Girls fandom to this day, even though we haven’t heard anything new from Stars Hollow since the Netflix revival in 2016.
At least we now know which team Emily actress Kelly Bishop belongs to.
Gilmore Girls actress Kelly Bishop is Team Logan – and can explain exactly why
Bishop is about to publish her book The Third Gilmore Girl and answered a few fan questions on the publisher’s Instagram page (via TVLine ). Gilmore-Gretchen question about Rory’s best boyfriend.
Her answer is very typical of her demanding (some would say snobby) character Emily Gilmore, who would certainly have preferred Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) because he came from a good family:
I must confess, I am Team Loganalthough I really love the other two. There was something about his acting that I really liked about working with him. He had a very masculine quality, whereas the others were more like boys. Great guys, but Logan was like an old movie star, like a man.
Bishop also speaks from the heart of many Gilmore Girls fans, as a Reddit poll from three years ago proves. Only 78 votes went to Rory’s first great love Dean (Jared Padalecki), while 384 went to bad boy Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) – but neither of them had much of a chance against Logan, who received an incredible 740 votes.
Where can you stream Gilmore Girls today?
The seven-season original series is available on Netflix and RTL+ as part of a flat rate. The revival Gilmore Girls: A New Year, on the other hand, is only available on the former streaming market leader.
There is currently no talk of another Gilmore revival. However, if you can’t get enough of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s work, you could continue with one of her follow-up series – Bunheads or The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – after the autumn rewatch. The ballet series is only available to rent or buy, the comedian dramedy can also be streamed with the Prime Flat.
