The legendary fighter pilot, who became the symbol of the Ukrainian resistance and known as the “ghost of Kiev” after rumors of shooting down 10 enemy planes, has been spotted for the first time.
The Ukrainian army shared the photo of the ace pilot, which, according to some, is just a rumor. The note shared includes the following statement:

According to experts, the “ghost of Kiev” idea is a great propaganda tool regardless of its reality.
Samuel Cranny-Evans, a research analyst at the defense and security think tank Royal United Services Institute, said that similar cases have been encountered in the past, citing German ace pilots in World War II or Russian snipers with high kill rates as examples.
It is possible that a “ghost of Kiev” exists that has had some success, according to Evans.
