The home team of Boston Brad Marchand also welcomed Bedard to the league in his own way, when Marchand, known for hating his opponent, tried to get under Bedard’s skin. Marchand would nudge the 18-year-old toward the Boston trade block. However, Bedard didn’t seem to react to it in any way.

– Getting under the skin is part of the game, I respect him (Marchand) and I have followed his career, Bedard said about the situation.
