Season 1 started badly in Diablo 4, but with Patch 1.1.1 some things have been changed. This also includes the drop rate of the best items in Season 1. You can find out which items these are and what exactly has changed here on MeinMMO.
What are the best items in Season 1? With Season 1 came the Seasonal Vicious Hearts mechanic. Jewels are a thing of the past, as players can use these hearts to socket bonuses into their armor to become even more powerful.
One strain, the wrathful hearts, were considered to be the rarest specimens players could farm. Before the patch, players only had a 2% chance of building a wrathful heart and only a 3% chance of getting one of the wrathful variety from a random suitor. With Patch 1.1.1 Hotfix 6 this is now a thing of the past.
What has been changed? Patch 1.1.1 delivered important changes regarding the Wrathful Hearts and how easily you can get them with a hotfix. This can be taken from the English patch notes (via wowhead.com):
The chance to build a Wrathful Heart has been increased from 2% to 10%. In addition, the chance to build a Wrathful Invoker increased from 3% to 15%. This gives players a much higher chance of getting the rarest hearts in Season 1.
What are the players saying about the changes? Many players on Reddit advise building seekers rather than hearts. Reddit user dernacle has listed the chances before and after the hotfix and shows you how safe it is to get a seeker or a heart in a wrathful manner:
1 in 33 chance for a Wrathful Invoker
1 in 50 chance for a Wrathful Heart
1 in 7 chance for a Wrathful Invoker
1 in 10 chance for a Wrathful Heart
So if you still need Wrathful Hearts for your build, then try the Invokers as you have a much higher chance of getting one of the Wrathful kind there.
Have you already managed to get hold of a strong Wrathful Heart or will you only go into the grind after the changes? Let’s find out in the comments!
