Andreas Hofmann achieved EC bronze in his career.
German javelin thrower Andreas Hofmann has ended his career. The 32-year-old athlete’s record is a wild 92.06 thrown in 2018.
Hofmann broke the 90-meter barrier in five races, four of which are from his best season six years ago. In the same year, he was about to reach the European Championships in Berlin by Thomas Röhler with a double victory for his country with his silver.
The German’s recent seasons have been marred by injuries. In the end, he decided to quit.
– After careful consideration, my health made me come to this decision. My sports career was an unforgettable time, tinged with great successes, but also challenges, such as injuries and surgeries, Hofmann enthused on his Instagram account.
