Germany trade surplus increases in August

(Finance) – The surplus of the is growing trade balance German. In August, a surplus was recorded, corrected by calendar effects, of 22.5 billion euros, compared to the assets of 16.9 billion in July (figure revised from 16.8 billion). The figure is higher than analysts’ estimates which were for a surplus to rise to 18.9 billion.

According to data published by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the exports they grew by 1.3% on a monthly basis, after the +1.7% recorded in July, while the imports they recorded a decrease of 3.4% against the -2.5% of the consensus.
