Germany retail sales slowed in February

(Finance) – Retail trade in Germany slows in February. In fact, sales in real terms recorded a 0.3% increase over month, after the + 2% recorded the previous month. The figure is worse than analysts’ expectations, which were for an increase of 0.5%.

According to the German Federal Statistical Office (DESTATIS), in addition, the annual variation stands at + 7% from the + 10.4% recorded in January (revised from + 10.3%) and compared to the + 6.1% of the consensus.
