Germany denies shutting down delivery of Russian TV channel | News in brief

The German Foreign Ministry says that the country’s authorities have not ordered the shutdown of the Russian Channel One TV channel.

Earlier on Wednesday, Russian state media reported that Germany had shut down the editorial and correspondent Ivan Blagoly told that he must leave the country by mid-December.

According to the German Foreign Ministry, the alleged deportations are related to people’s residence and residence permits.

– Russian journalists can report freely and without obstacles in Germany. A large number of Russian journalists have been accredited by the national press agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman said and stressed that the delivery of Channel One has not been closed.
